Procedure techniques & scars
By using the most up to date principles in cosmetic breast surgery and having performed well over 1000 surgeries of this type, Dr. Mok has developed a breast lift technique that maximizes the aesthetic potential of a patient’s own tissues. An internal surgical “push-up bra” is created, stacking and suturing breast tissues in a fashion that amplifies upper breast fullness and projection while at the same time narrowing and eliminating the wide and low appearance of some breasts. Liposuction is often used during the surgery to help achieve this goal. If patients wish to have more volume, breast projection or upper breast fullness than can be provided from their existing breast tissue, implants can be considered to achieve this goal.
There are 3 main types of incisions for a breast lift procedure. Depending on individual factors, Dr. Mok will determine which incision will bring patients their desired results. Patients may see incision lines around the areola, vertically down the breast from the areola to the breast fold, and/or along the inframammary fold. Incisions can take up to 2 years to fade and can be hidden nicely along the natural creases of the body.
